The 20th annual golf tournament to benefit the Palliative care residence Vaudreuil-Soulanges was held on August 22 at the prestigious Summerlea Golf Club in Vaudreuil-Dorion, raising a record $102,260 (net). The golf tournament is one of the Maison's main fund-raising activities, helping to maintain its mission of providing free care and ensuring that patients (and their loved ones) live out their final days with dignity and compassion, in a calm and serene natural environment.

For the occasion, over 200 participants, partners and sponsors enjoyed a festive day filled with surprises, thanks to gourmet food stations and on-hole entertainment. The day ended with a dinner where players and guests could chat and bid on the virtual auction, which raised $14,290 (net).

This year was special in that it marked the 20th anniversary of the tournament. For the occasion, each player was presented with a golf marker bearing the House logo. A tribute was also paid to Jean St-Pierre, Honorary President for many years and present at the very first edition.  His involvement and absolute commitment to the Maison and our community were warmly applauded by his peers.

The residence is truly fortunate to have such a valued partner as Jean St-Pierre among its ranks. The residence would like to thank him warmly for taking on this honorary mandate with such dedication, and hopes to have him among its ranks for another 20 years.

Another highlight was undoubtedly the traditional call to Ambassadors, where anyone interested is invited to make a donation of $1,000 to the Foundation.  For the occasion, 35 kind-hearted people stood up and agreed to give generously to the cause. A record number for a golf tournament. 35,000 thanks to these kind-hearted people!

Committed partners and sponsors

It's essential to mention that the tournament is the fruit of a collective effort that relies on the support of invaluable partners and sponsors. The Foundation would like to thank them for their unwavering support: E360S, IGA Famille Déziel, Habitations Raymond Allard & Groupe F A A Construction, Sanivac, Bourassa Boyer, Marie-Claude Nichols- Députée de Vaudreuil, Groupe DPJL - Intact assurances, Microbrasserie Trois-Lacs, Banque Nationale, Centre Multisports André-Chagnon, Chez Maurice, JC Perreault, Château Vaudreuil, KariSpa, Club Piscine Super Fitness (Vaudreuil-Dorion) and POIRÉ Artiste.
