The Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CACVS) is pleased to present the exhibition Les évasions imaginaires by Lazaroise artist Lange. The exhibition is accessible during the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The exhibition will run until next February.
About the exhibition
Lange invites you to plunge into a universe where the real and the imaginary meet to create unexplored worlds. Through her works, the artist creates universes where the innocence of the naive style blends with the depth of surrealism. In this exhibition, the Saint-Lazare-based artist explores the blurred boundaries between dream and reality, transforming ordinary scenes into extraordinary visions.
“I'm an art buff. My artistic language is constantly evolving because I love exploring new practices. My aim as an artist is to touch those who come to contemplate my work.” - Lange
Using traditional techniques such as acrylic paint, oil and pencil, Lange invites the viewer to plunge into a world where innocence and dreams blend harmoniously.
In each of her creations, the artist makes a nod to puzzles. These deformed pieces fascinate her, as they always end up finding their place to complete the image. Is life itself a puzzle, where each experience, however disordered or confused, eventually comes together to form a coherent and meaningful whole?
About the artist
Lange's interest in visual art began in early childhood. She spent her teenage years armed with HB pencils. Being able to express her emotions through drawing was liberating for her.
A few years later, her curiosity led her to experiment with new techniques and acquire new knowledge. After taking part in a number of advanced visual arts courses taught by various masters in the field, she had the opportunity to unveil and perfect her own form of artistic expression.
Her artistic style is a gentle blend of naive art and surrealism. Her open-mindedness and ability to listen make her a person capable of standing out from the crowd.
The CACVS is located in the offices of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges at 280, boulevard Harwood in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
