Less than two weeks to go before the open house at the Saint-Lazare fire station

On Saturday, September 14, Ville de Saint-Lazare will be opening the doors of its municipal fire station to young and old alike. This will be an ideal opportunity to learn more about the firefighting profession and the behaviours to adopt on a daily basis to improve safety for all. 

This initiative will serve as a springboard for Fire Prevention Week, to be held from October 6 to 12, 2024.

Schedule for the day

10 a.m.: Opening;
10:30 a.m.: Road accident simulation;
11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon): 30-minute CPR training (registration required);
1 p.m.: Road accident simulation;
2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: 30-minute CPR course (registration required)
3 p.m.: End of activities;

Program includes

- Portable fire extinguisher test;

- Fire hose test;

- Two simulated road accidents;

- Smoke simulation trailer;

- Photobooth with combat gear;

- Prevention booth (72-hour kit);

- Tour of fire trucks; 

- Mascots Yvon Larosé and Cloé Tincelle;

- Sale of hot dogs, chips and beverages by UCMU (Unité Communautaire de Mesures d'Urgences);

- Raffles and giveaways;

- 30-minute CPR course;

The event is free of charge.
