This Monday, September 2, a large part of the Quebec population is off for Labor Day. As with any holiday, you may find yourself bumping into closed doors at some businesses and services. 

Neomedia presents a non-exhaustive list of what's open and what's closed:

Open

Convenience stores and tobacconists
Gas stations
Bookstores
Restaurants
Establishments located in a cultural or sports center, hospital, airport terminal or tourist area.
Businesses selling mainly works of art, handicrafts, flowers or horticultural products, antiques or motor oil and fuel.
Certain pharmacies
Only SAQ Express stores will be open during regular business hours.

Closed

Grocery stores larger than 375 m2;
Shopping malls;
Canada Post offices (no mail delivery);
Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) offices;
Passport Canada offices;
Banks/Caisses;
Government and municipal offices;
Libraries.
