Nearly 20 CSSTL sites are under construction
Several worksites in the region's schools this summer
While for many, the summer season is synonymous with vacations, for the Centre de services scolaires des Trois-Lacs, the season is synonymous with work. As in previous years, the CSSTL took advantage of the warmer weather to carry out a variety of work on its facilities.
Several primary and secondary schools, as well as the Centre de formation professionnelle Paul Gérin-Lajoie, were the subject of worksites. These included architectural renovations (exterior envelope and interior finishing), replacement of mechanical systems, building conversions and civil works.
Among the elementary schools that have undergone these modifications in recent weeks are: José-Maria, du Val-des-Prés (three buildings), Pavillon Saint-Ignace de Coteau-du-Lac, école Léopold-Carrière, Saint-Zotique, de la Riveraine, Saint-Michel, Sainte-Madeleine, Saint-Thomas, du Papillon-Bleu ( 2 buildings), de l'Épervière, de l'Hymne-au-Printemps, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, Virginie-Roy and de la Perdriolle.
The Cité-des-Jeunes, Chêne-Bleu and Soulanges high schools were also the focus of work this summer. The amount of annual allocations received from the MEQ to carry out asset maintenance work, such as that in the schools listed above, varies annually. For information, for the CSSTL, this allocation was $20,461,936 in 2023-2024, while it has been reduced to $16,203,099 for 2024-2025.
