This back-to-school week, some 50 positions are still open at the Trois-Lacs School Service Center. This latest information is contained in the Tableau de bord de l'éducation, dated Monday August 26.

The information it contains specifies that a total of 27 teachers are still lacking at the CSSTL, out of 1,222 positions. This represents 2.2% of requirements.

As for support staff, 15 of the 390 positions in this job category remain unfilled, representing 3.8% of the needs to be filled. Of these, 14 are related to the profession of childcare educator, while the other is for a special education technician.

For professional staff, human resources requirements are as follows:

- Psychoeducator: 5;

- Guidance counselor: 3;

- Speech therapists: 3;

- Psychologists: 3;

These four professions represent a total of 25.5% of the positions to be filled within the regional authority.

More than 310 vacancies in the Lester B. Pearson School Board. Pearson School Board

In the Lester-B. Pearson School Board, the situation is not much better. A total of 211 of the 2,149 teaching positions are still to be filled. However, given that the English-language organization also covers part of Montreal, it is impossible at present to know how many positions are available in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area.

For support staff, we are still looking for 88 employees to fill the roles of daycare educator (76 positions) and special education technician (12 positions).

For professional staff, 7 psychologists are missing, as are two guidance counsellors and as many speech therapists, for a total of 11 jobs that remain unfilled to date, representing 20% of the positions to be filled.
