Highway 40 and Île-aux-Tourtes bridge closures to be expected
The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable announces the closure of Exit 41 - Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue/Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants on Highway 40 East from Friday, August 30 at 11:59 pm to Tuesday, September 3 at 5 am.
This closure is necessary to carry out work on the drainage system as part of the construction of the new Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.
A detour road will be marked with temporary signage.
Further closures are scheduled over the coming weeks, notably on the weekends of September 7 and 8, and September 21 and 22, when Autoroute 40, including the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge, will be closed.
These closures are required for bridge maintenance and reconstruction work, including the installation of a membrane, the installation of a drainage network, the dismantling of existing slabs and the construction of the approaches to the new bridge.
After each of the two weekends, a new road configuration will be put in place on the bridge and at its end in the Senneville sector to carry out the next phase of work.
Outside these periods, a total of three lanes will remain available on the bridge, including two in the direction of peak traffic.
