The travelling exhibitions, Contamination culturelle - les couleurs de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, and Contamination interculturelle - l'Odyssée migratoire, have been on display in Saint-Zotique since Thursday, August 1.

The two exhibitions are continuing their summer tour and are now installed at the Plage de Saint-Zotique.

For this 5th edition, artists were invited to create a work on the theme of the colors of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

Colors have always marked places and territories. With this in mind, the artists were asked to explore and develop the notion of color in relation to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.

Regardless of the role it plays, the space it takes up or the references to which it corresponds, color has a significant impact in each of the works presented.

Color is integrated into the heart of the works in terms of their spatial placement in a collective and external context.

Visitors will discover works by Isabelle Deprez, Karine Giguère, Gabriel Lalonde, Gabrielle Larouche, Marie-Ève Longtin, Johanne Mitchell, Émilie Parent, Isabelle Parson, Nathalie Plouffe and Céline Poirier.

As for the Migratory Odyssey exhibition, it highlights the stories and faces of people of immigrant background through captivating portraits and moving narratives, the works aspiring to create an inclusive and revealing dialogue within the community.

The concept for this exhibition was developed in collaboration with L'Art de Capter by Josiane Farand, the Centre de services scolaires des Trois-Lacs, the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion.

The traveling exhibitions will make two more stops in the region this summer, and will be present at three regional festivals.

- September 4 to October 7: Parc des Générations, L'Île-Perrot (VIP en Blues, September 13 to 15)

- October 7 to 17: Parc Chartier-De Lotbinière, Rigaud (Festival des couleurs de Rigaud, October 12 to 15).
