Fans of vintage cars and rockabilly will be disappointed to learn that Rigaud will not be hosting the famous Rockabilly Rumble this summer.

Indeed, the event's organizers, an independent organization, did not include Rigaud on their calendar of cities to be visited in 2024, due to a lack of organizational support.

On its social networks, the City of Rigaud indicated that due to the limited resources of the city, which is already a partner in numerous events with its local organizations, it is impossible to further mobilize the city's current team, which must also manage the leisure infrastructures.

“Planning and organizing Rockabilly is a complex, multi-tasking logistical operation that requires the management of sponsors, registrations, several shows, and above all the expertise of people who know the classic car business,” we explain.

The Rockabilly Rumble organization did not respond to our questions.

Anyone interested in the Rockabilly Rumble is invited to attend this Saturday, July 20, in Brockville. And for antique car enthusiasts, the Parc historique de la Pointe-du-Moulin will be holding an exhibition this Sunday, July 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
