The Corporation de développement communautaire Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CDC-VS) and its partners are actively seeking people from immigrant communities who would like to contribute to the community sector by finding long-term employment.

The “Tremplin vers le communautaire” paid internship and training program is an initiative designed to enrich community services in Vaudreuil-Soulanges by mobilizing the varied skills and potential of immigrants.

This project was initiated by the CDC-VS following consultation with organizations, many of which are experiencing challenges in recruiting and retaining workers. A steering committee made up of various organizations, including Comquat, La Magie des Mots, the Centre prénatal et jeunes familles, Réseaux and the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest, developed an innovative solution under the coordination of the CDC, with the collaboration of Services Québec.

In concrete terms, the program will offer people of immigrant background the opportunity to gain 20 to 40 weeks' paid work experience by combining four weeks' preparatory training in Vaudreuil-Dorion with two work placements in a position offered by a local community organization.

Several positions will be offered according to the needs of the organizations, such as

Administrative assistant;
Communications officer;
Driver's helper;
Educator's assistant;
Animator;
Driver;
Janitor;
Psychosocial worker;
Maintenance supervisor.

Interested candidates can submit their applications by July 31 by e-mail to [email protected], or via the interest form available at cdcvs.ca/tremplin.
