The Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges is looking for a visual artist to exhibit at the CACVS gallery from early September 2024 to mid-January 2025.

The CACVS is mandated to implement its cultural policy in line with sustainable development, and works to promote the arts and culture in Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

The present call for submissions is part of this deployment, aiming to support and recognize professional and amateur cultural practice and activities. The CACVS wishes to showcase the talent and creativity of Vaudreuil-Soulanges artists by offering the opportunity to exhibit in its gallery (280, boul. Harwood, Vaudreuil-Dorion).

The exhibition will run from early September 2024 to mid-January 2025. An 18-foot wall is available, equipped with a "click rail" hanging system.  Space is too limited for three-dimensional works, which will not be accepted. A fee of $300 will be offered to the exhibiting artist, as well as a promotional service (social media).  The CACVS will produce a poster contextualizing the exhibition. Transportation, hanging and label printing are the responsibility of the artist.

Would you like to take up this challenge? If so, here are the conditions for submitting an application:

- Reside in one of the towns or municipalities of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges served by the CACVS;

- Be a member of the CACVS;

- Be available for hanging and unhanging.

The exact dates will be agreed according to the availability of the artist and the CACVS. 4

- An artistic curriculum vitae;

- Their artistic approach;

- Visual documentation (5 to 7 photos), as well as a description of the selected works (all mediums, formats and styles are accepted);
