On Friday June 28, the Soulanges Minor Hockey Association invited its players and their families to the unveiling of their new logo. At the same time, the leaders of the sports organization took the opportunity to unveil the new colors the players will be wearing as of the 2024-2025 season.

The unveiling took place at Cafiti in Saint-Polycarpe, in the form of a 5 à 7 in the presence of numerous players, parents and community partners such as Lavoie La Source du Sport, Bingo Centre Civique Valleyfield, Vision jeunesse du Suroît, Rivière Rouge Golf Club and Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges. The mayors of Les Coteaux and Saint-Zotique, Sylvain Brazeau and Yvon Chiasson, also attended the event.

In all, the Soulanges Minor Hockey Association boasts some twenty teams playing at levels U7 to U18. The territory served includes the municipalities of Coteau-du-Lac, Les Coteaux, Saint-Zotique, Rivière-Beaudette, Saint-Clet, Sainte-Marthe, Sainte-Justine-de-Newton, Saint-Télesphore, Saint-Polycarpe and Très-Saint-Rédempteur.

"Our new colors are bold and reflect the dynamism of our teams on the ice. We were able to count on the support of Lavoie La Source du Sport and Desjardins to sponsor the new uniforms. We're convinced that the coming season will be full of exciting challenges and remarkable moments," said Jean-François Beaulieu, Communications Manager for the Soulanges Minor Hockey Association (SMHA), following the unveiling.

It should be noted that teams will wear yellow jerseys at home, while white will be worn at away games.Geneviève Élie, member of the Board of Directors of the Caisses Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, was delighted to see the new uniform."We're very proud to contribute $10,000 a year to the Association de field hockey mineur de Soulanges. The uniforms are very beautiful, bold and of very professional quality. It's also interesting because interested parties can purchase a range of clothing in the same colors to support their local teams," she added.

In fact, toques, jackets, t-shirts, sandals and many other items bearing the Soulanges Minor Hockey Association logo can be purchased in-store at Lavoie La Source du Sport, or online via the store's website.

Even though the summer season is well underway, and minor field hockey action has come to a standstill on the region's ice rinks, the Soulanges Minor Hockey Association is still hard at work.

Registrations for the new season have been open since July 1.For more information, visit https://hockey-ahms.com/inscription-2024-2025/.
