This Monday, July 1, many Canadians will be taking Canada Day off. While Quebecers are more likely to celebrate this day by moving, others will enjoy the break.

However, it's important to check what services are available on this day. Here is a non-exhaustive list of what will be open and closed.

Open

  • Convenience stores
  • Grocery supermarkets
  • Ecocentres
  • Small grocery stores
  • Pharmacies (with exceptions)
  • Restaurants and bars
  • Gas stations
  • SAQ branches (except those located in shopping malls)

Closed

  • Banks and cash registers (closed July 1 and 3, 2023)
  • SAAQ service centers
  • Retail stores
  • Canada Post (closed July 1 and 3, 2023)
  • SQDC branches
