Built in 2006, the Complexe sportif de Saint-Lazare was recently put up for sale for the tidy sum of $8.9 million.

Managed by CSSL Société en Commandite, the complex includes an ice hockey rink, an indoor soccer field, a fitness center and a resto-bar.

According to the fact sheet available on the website of the firm in charge of the sale, Colliers, the municipal assessment for the years 2023-2025 would amount to $5,888,900.

On social networks, many citizens have suggested that Ville de Saint-Lazare purchase the Complexe. By e-mail, Christelle Paré, Director of Communications and Community Relations for Ville de Saint-Lazare, indicated: "For the moment, Ville de Saint-Lazare is not very active in this file. The Complexe sportif is a building to which we rent access at certain times of the year. However, we are not in line to acquire it. We have other development projects for sports and leisure, in order to improve the range of services available to the people of Saint-Lazare.
