The official ground-breaking ceremony for the Néolia Cité Verte real estate project in Pincourt, to be built by Néolia Habitations inc., took place on Monday.

The event was attended by project managers Axeo Immobilier, Corsim and Groupe Farand. Members of the Town of Pincourt's municipal council and mayor were also present, as was McGill immobilier, which is responsible for selling the units.

The first phase of the project, scheduled for delivery in late 2025, will comprise 103 condominium units. The six-storey complex will feature, among other things, fully indoor parking, a rooftop pool with an inviting terrace, common areas such as an indoor gym, a telecommuting room, a lounge and a fully landscaped interior courtyard.

Even before construction began, 60% of the units were sold.

"I'm delighted to announce that today, Pincourt is taking a major step forward by welcoming this new residential complex. This project is a testament to our growth and progress, as well as to our commitment to offering modern, high-quality living spaces to our residents. Together, we're building a brighter, more dynamic future for everyone in our community," noted Pincourt Mayor Claude Comeau.

The project, which will be carried out in four phases, will eventually include over 500 units and will occupy the site of the former Pincourt Walmart at Carrefour de l'Île.

"In the first phase, there are mainly 3 1/2s, 4 1/2s and 5 1/2s, but there are more 4 1/2s. We have about 60 units already sold, and we're already working on plans for the second phase. One of the last phases will be the site of the former Walmart, which will be completely demolished. It has been discussed to give access to the mall via underground tunnels from each of the complexes, so that residents can go there without going outside, and at the same time give the mall a second wind. The owner is still analyzing the project. It's a goal we have, but nothing has been confirmed yet," says project promoter Sébastien Mathieu.
