Rigaud: Collège Bourget pool to be replaced
The Collège Bourget de Rigaud swimming pool, built in 1972, has reached the end of its useful life and will be demolished in June, to be replaced by another semi-Olympic pool. In addition, the changing rooms and mezzanine will undergo a facelift, and bleachers will be added for spectators in the pool and double gymnasium.

Les Coteaux wants to create a Miyawaki mini-forest in Audrey Park. At least, that's what was announced at the last municipal council meeting held on May 21.
A cigarette butt could have thrown thirty people onto the street
A 16-unit apartment building was destroyed by flames on Friday, May 24, leaving some thirty people homeless. The fire occurred at 322 rue Jeanne-Mance and required the intervention of some sixty firefighters from the region, including crews from Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
Unilateral decision: Rigaud denounces the CSSTL
Unless there is a change of course, Rigaud residents will no longer have access to facilities at École primaire de l'Épervière after the Centre de services scolaires des Trois-Lacs (CSSTL) unilaterally terminated the memorandum of understanding between the two parties.

Clandestine laboratory training for Vaudreuil-Soulanges firefighters
Some 25 firefighters from the municipalities of Rigaud, Les Cèdres, Saint-Lazare, Hudson and Coteau-du-Lac took part in a theoretical and practical training session on clandestine laboratories organized by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on May 23.

The Gymini artistic gymnastics club closed its competitive season this weekend in Granby at the Coupe provinciale N4 to N6. Athletes returned home with numerous prizes.
Highway 20: A citizens' movement launches a petition
A group of citizens and entrepreneurs from Vaudreuil-Dorion and Île Perrot launched a petition this Wednesday morning to urge the government to officially commit, as soon as possible, to the project to complete Highway 20 between Île Perrot and the Dorion sector of the city of Vaudreuil-Dorion. The petition's goal is to reach a minimum of 40,000 signatures.

Significant increase in registration tax for CMM cities
As of January 1, 2025, Vaudreuil-Soulanges motorists living within the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) will see their registration tax increase from $59 to $150. This significant increase will help finance public transit in the Greater Montreal region.
