Sandy Beach: QR codes to suggest alternatives
Signs have appeared in Hudson reminding residents that access to Sandy Beach is prohibited from all points of entry.
On these signs, a QR code links citizens to the Town's website, where they can learn more about the activities offered on the territory.
It should be remembered that on March 11, concrete barriers were installed at several points, preventing citizens from accessing the pathway leading to the beach.
On May 3, the Town announced that Sandy Beach would be closed for the summer season, at least until the Town builds a pathway to the beach on the lots it owns. In fact, according to the City, the process of creating a public pathway to the beach has already begun.
On May 13, at a special council meeting, elected officials adopted a by-law authorizing a municipal patrol to issue statements of offence to citizens overstepping the beach access ban.
