On Friday, March 1, Vaudreuil-Dorion's École secondaire des Échos hosted an unusual final in its intramural basketball tournament. The champion team, made up of students from Secondary 3 to 5, unexpectedly faced off against a special team made up not only of teachers, but also four professional players from Montreal's La Toundra basketball team.

During the match, the professional players dazzled the many student spectators with feats worthy of their talent. The Echos team did not let themselves be intimidated and held out against this special team until the very end. Unfortunately, they lost by a very narrow score of 38-37, but greatly enjoyed this memorable duel. The students were not left out either, as player Nervens Demosthene addressed the crowd, inviting them to attend three of their next matches. An emotional day that ended on a high note!

Last January, nearly a hundred students from École secondaire des Echos came out to support the Montreal team. Very grateful for their support, the Toundra team wanted to meet the young athletes to discover their living environment and facilities, and to inspire them to persevere in the sport they love.
