More than $280,000 for the Centre communautaire des aînés de Vaudreuil-Soulanges
The MNA for Soulanges, Marilyne Picard, announces financial contributions totalling $283,896 to the Centre communautaire des aînés de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CCAVS) to implement its Les rendez-vous du CCAVS project.
"Thanks to the financial support of the Québec amis des aînés program, the CCAVS will be able to deploy its activity service (Les Rendez-vous du Centre) throughout the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region, to help maintain the intellectual, emotional, physical and social vitality of seniors," said Josée Champagne, Director of the Centre communautaire des aînés de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
The funding granted to CCAVS follows the d2023-2024 call for projects under the Québec ami des aînés (QADA) program. The purpose of QADA is to provide financial assistance to non-profit organizations for initiatives aimed at adapting living environments to the realities of seniors, and contributing to the achievement of government objectives in terms of active aging.
"The granting of this financial assistance is excellent news, as it will directly benefit seniors. I'm proud that our government supports community organizations and innovative initiatives. I congratulate the CCAVS team on their project, as well as the invaluable volunteers for the important support they provide to our community," added MNA Marilyne Picard.
