Gymini: N7 and N8 Quebec Cup and GAM Quebec Cup results
This past weekend was marked by the women's and men's artistic gymnastics competitions, where Club Gymini gymnasts shone with their determination and performance.
2nd Quebec Cup N7 and N8 in Sainte-Thérèse
The 2nd Coupe Québec N7 and N8 in women's artistic gymnastics was held last weekend at the Jacques-About Campus in Sainte-Thérèse. In the N8 category, 13-14 years old, Juliette Trudeau distinguished herself with a 6th place on vault and excellent execution throughout the competition, finishing 12th overall.
Danica Majchrowicz also competed well, increasing her total by 2 points without any falls. Cassiopée Woo Sun Cheong showed perseverance by performing her routines despite a nagging cold. Throughout the competition, she demonstrated her sporting spirit.
Vanessa Ochoa, in the N7 category, aged 15 and over, impressed with her determination and self-confidence, improving her total on the apparatus and presenting some fine routines, particularly on beam, where her confidence captivated the judges. Loriane Deguire, back from injury, won her first selection of the year with determined routines on all apparatus.
Finally, gymnasts Sonya Patten and Kaylie Moufrage were also congratulated on their efforts. Sonya Patten took a fine 8th place on beam and 4th place with an excellent vault, increasing her total by more than 2 points. Kaylie Moufrage, despite the challenges, maintained a great attitude and concentration throughout the competition.
Men's Quebec Cup Final, Rimouski
Rimouski's Rikigym club hosted the men's artistic gymnastics (MAG) Québec Cup final. Raphaël Lauzon was hailed for his fine overall improvement, demonstrating better control of his hold and movements at the Défi.
In the Level 1 category, Charles-Edouard Dupuis showed good control of stress levels, highlighting his competition experience and acting as a leader for his colleagues. Cédric Thibeault also controlled his stress well despite a relatively new outing on the parallel bars, achieving good performances and overall improvements. Mathis Venne maintained a positive attitude and set a new personal best on pommel horse in his second competition. Albert Prévost, despite a fall on his first apparatus, managed to control his stress and improve his overall score by 6 points.
Overall, these competitions were marked by the determination, resilience and impressive performances of the gymnasts, testifying to their commitment and passion for this demanding sport.

The Club offers 7 acrobatic sports in 6 gymnasiums across Vaudreuil-Soulanges, and it's already time to register for the spring session and summer day camp. Registration is now open online at www.clubgymini.org/inscriptions.
