Congestion to be expected
Île-aux-Tourtes bridge completely closed this weekend
A new complete closure of the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge is scheduled from Friday March 15 at 11:59 pm to Monday March 18 at 5 am. This closure is required for preparatory work to build the approaches to the new Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.
Detour roads will be marked with temporary signage. The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable recommends that road users allow extra time to reach their destination.
Impediments and traffic management
On Highway 40, between Senneville and Vaudreuil-Dorion
- Complete closure of Autoroute 40 westbound between Exit 41 - Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevueboul. Des Anciens-Combattants/autoroute 20 westbound/Île Perrot and the entrance from avenue Saint-Charles, from Friday, March 15, at 11:59 p.m., until Monday, March 18, at 5 a.m.
o Westbound access to chemin Senneville will be maintained for users travelling to this area.
- Complete closure of Autoroute 40 eastbound between exit no. 35 -Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac/Vaudreuil-Dorion/Av. Saint-Charles and the entrance from boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, from Friday, March 15, at 11:59 p.m., until Monday, March 18, at 5 a.m.
o The ramp leading from autoroute 40 to the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will be closed at the interchange with autoroute 30. Users are invited to use Autoroutes 20 and 30 instead.
- On Monday March 18 at 5 a.m., the temporary configuration - two lanes available towards Vaudreuil-Dorion and one towards Montreal - will be restored on the bridge.
Work may be postponed due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints.
