Four Quebec healthcare establishments, including CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest, have agreed to take part. A total of 18 candidates will be selected and supported.

As part of the project, candidates will be required to register with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) in order to receive their prescriptions allowing them to enter a clinical setting. These results will provide precise information on diploma recognition by the OIIQ for this Mexican pool.

Internship offers

Depending on the results, the health and social services establishments participating in the project undertake to offer candidates an internship based on the prescription obtained. In the event that their prescriptions do not allow candidates to integrate a clinical setting, they may be hired as orderlies.

All successful candidates will be referred to the francization program of the MSSS and the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration.
