Between 5 and 10 mm are expected in addition to those that have fallen in recent hours
A second episode of freezing rain expected in Vaudreuil-Soulanges this Friday
On this Thursday, January 25, while schools in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region are closed due to weather conditions, the area is once again subject to a weather alert issued by Environment Canada. A new episode of freezing rain is expected this Friday.
The new precipitation will begin this Friday morning and last for a few hours, which could complicate travel on the local road network. In all, between 5 and 10 millimeters of additional freezing rain are expected during this event.
Surfaces such as roads, streets, sidewalks and parking lots could become icy and slippery. This could have a significant impact on rush-hour traffic in urban areas.
We recommend that you adapt your driving to changing road conditions. A freezing rain warning is issued when rain falls during sub-zero temperatures, which will result in icy accumulations.
