In anticipation of the summer season
It's time to rent your community garden space in Saint-Lazare
Although the mercury is showing that winter has definitely set in in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region, Ville de Saint-Lazare is already in summer mode. With this in mind, it is calling on citizens interested in cultivating a plot of land in one of its two community gardens during the coming warm season.

These public cultivation spaces are located in the Jardin des Monarques, part of the Cité-des-Papillons housing development, and in the Jardin Loisirs et vie communautaire behind the Centre communautaire. Residents who rent space in these gardens will be able to use them from May 1 to November 1.
The City specifies that the raised lots are reserved for people with physical limitations. Those wishing to obtain these spaces are asked to mention this when registering.
Allocation procedure
Priority is given to gardeners from the previous year. Vacant plots, if any remain, are then allocated by drawing lots from among new registrations, and a waiting list is created, says the town.
Replies are sent to applicants at the beginning of April. Registration is open until noon on March 30, 2024. Anyone, experienced or not, aged 15 and over, can register their interest.Only one registration is accepted per residence. The Accès Saint-Lazare Card is required for online payment.
Each participant will pay $20 to plant the fruits, vegetables and herbs of his or her choice. Payment must be made online by credit card, in cash or by debit in person at the Service des loisirs office.
