A Vaudreuil-Dorion skater stars at the Four Continents Championships in China
Following the 2024 Canadian National Skating Championships, Skate Canada named its teams for two ISU Championships. The Vaudreuil-Soulanges region will be well represented by figure skater Maxime Deschamps, from Vaudreuil-Dorion, and his partner Deanna Stellato-Dudek.
The week-long competitions were held at Calgary's WinSport Arena from January 8 to 14, and featured junior and senior men, women, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating.
Skate Canada has stringent selection criteria for each ISU Championship, in order to select the athletes and teams who will represent Canada at these events.
The athletes who will compete at the 2024 ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Montreal, Canada, will be announced at a later date.

The event will be held in Shanghai, China, from January 30 to February 4 and will feature the following athletes:

Skate Canada will announce the athletes who will wear its colors at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, on March 15 and 16, and at the upcoming ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, on April 5 and 6, no later than February 14.
