The awarding of a new contract will bring a number of changes to collection days in Vaudreuil-Dorion, starting in January 2024. At the same time, the numerical naming of sectors has been revised to avoid confusion with districts. Sectors are now named by letters rather than numbers (1 becomes A, 2 becomes B and so on).

The changes to collection days are as follows:

Organics: 

Monday

- Every two weeks up to and including April 8;

- Sectors C, D and E: start Tuesday, January 2, due to statutory vacation;

- Sectors A and B: start January 8. 

Garbage:

Wednesday

- Every two weeks;

- Sectors C, D and E: start on January 3;

- Sectors A and B: begins January 10.

Bulky waste:

Thursday

- Once a month;

- Area A: first Thursday of the month;

- Sector B: second Thursday of the month;

- Area C: third Thursday of the month;

- Sectors D and E: fourth Thursday of the month. 

Recycling:

Friday

- Weekly for all sectors. 

Winter organics

During the winter season (mid-November to mid-April each year), organics will be collected every two weeks. A significant drop in the amount of material collected during this period, combined with the delivery of larger format bins, has prompted the City to implement this new measure.Collection will resume on a weekly basis as of April 15.Please note that since green residues are now accepted as part of the organics collection program, only two green residue collections have been maintained in the spring and three in the fall.
