In recent weeks, three changes have taken place within the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Fire Department. Here's a summary of the situation.
At the beginning of December, we learned that Michael Mogianesi, Director of Saint-Lazare's Service de sécurité incendie, would be taking over as Director of Rigaud's Service de sécurité incendie on December 4, for an indefinite period.
To Néomédia, the Ville de Rigaud confirmed that Sylvain Brazeau, who previously managed the SSI, is still employed, and that his absence remains private and confidential.
In Saint-Zotique, later in December, it was revealed that preventionist and captain Alexandre Côté had been promoted. Côté was promoted to operations supervisor with the Service d'urgence et de sécurité incendie de Saint-Zotique. He first donned a firefighter's uniform in 2007, and has been a Saint-Zotique captain since November 2016.
Finally, the L'Île-Perrot fire department will be able to count on the services of Christian Dumas, who will shortly become assistant to director Benoit Leclair. Since December 2019, he has headed the Régie Incendie Memphrémagog Est, a position he will leave behind to assume his new duties.
