On Wednesday, December 20, Town of Pincourt employees made three donations to local food banks.  The recipient organizations are Paroisse St-Patrick ($1,000), the L'Île-Perrot Presbyterian Church ($1,000) and the Church of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette ($1,000). These non-profit organizations provide support to low-income individuals and families in Pincourt and on Île Perrot, including food assistance and Christmas hampers.

This action is an initiative of the employees who voluntarily contributed to a common solidarity fund and, together, raised a total of $3,000.

This socially responsible action reflects our employees' deep commitment to the community and their desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by food insecurity.

In addition, when the cheques were handed over to the various organizations, employees donated boxes of foodstuffs that were collected internally in the different departments of the City. The boxes, include a variety of non-perishable food products, basic necessities and holiday items.

"I'm extremely proud of this action on the part of employees, who have demonstrated a commitment to our community. Their initiative demonstrates the solidarity within our teams. At this time of year, it's particularly touching to see our employees join forces to bring a little warmth and comfort to those who need it most," says Mayor Claude Comeau.
