"An unforgettable era" with Daniel Bertolino

The Société d'histoire et de généalogie de l'île Perrot (SHGIP) will present a series of short historical documentaries by filmmaker Daniel Bertolino on Friday, December 1 at 2 p.m. at the Guy-Godin library on Île-Perrot.

The presentation of Toute une époque inoubliable also inaugurates two genealogy tutorials explaining how to start researching a family history.

Here is a list of the different themes that will be covered.

-School superintendents in 1929

-Schoolmistresses in 1905

The school inspector in 1940

Secretaries and treasurers in 1956

-The class newspaper

Tutorial: The Lalonde banner

Tutorial: The Daoust banner

Joseph Leduc's land

The Daoust Inn in Pincourt

The Daousts and Sagalas ran the ferry

The tutorials will be posted on the SHGIP website (www.histoireperrot.org) to encourage those interested in researching their ancestors.

The presentation will be hosted by Daniel Bertolino, with the participation of Île Perrot historian Lise Chartier. The Guy-Godin library is located at 120, boulevard Perrot, Île-Perrot.
