The MRC wishes to inform its citizens that a public information and discussion session on the project to set up a regional composting platform will be held on Wednesday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Très-Saint-Rédempteur socio-cultural center.

The purpose of this information and discussion session is to present the origin of the project and the reasons why the MRC believes that a composting platform project is necessary for the region.

The objectives of this information session are to explain :

  • The preferred composting approach, what will be composted there, and the source and quantities of materials;
  • The analysis of potential sites and why the current site was chosen;
  • The type of governance planned and why;
  • Costs and schedule.

The information session will also address citizens' environmental, economic and social questions and concerns. Opportunities and benefits for the host municipality and the region will also be discussed.

Information session schedule

The room will be laid out according to a defined plan, with subject-specific stations designed to inform the community of all aspects of the preliminary project, and also to allow interested parties to express their views during and after the information session.

Citizens will be able to make proposals to improve the project, as well as ask questions that will be grouped by category and answered for all citizens on the MRC website.

How to participate

Individuals or organizations wishing to participate must register in advance, so that time slot logistics can be established according to the number of people registered.

Individuals can register directly using the online form. Daytime and evening slots will be offered to enable as many people as possible to take part.

Those unable to attend will be able to consult a number of explanatory documents on the MRC website, or send their questions directly to [email protected].
