A win and a loss for the Pionniers
The Pionniers M14D3 were on the road this Thursday for their only game of the week, when they faced the Collège Saint-Sacrement in La Plaine.
Despite the players' tiredness, the team managed to come away with all 3 points, winning 2-1.
Fans who made the trip were introduced to energy player Isaack Martel, playing his first career game.
In this classic road game scenario, the players fell back on the brilliance of their goalkeeper. That's why Olivier Laroche was voted player of the match. As he said after the match: "The way the team plays in front of me doesn't affect my game. My job is very simple: to make the saves."
The U14s play their next game next Wednesday in Montreal against Collège Saint-Jean Vianney.
A defeat for the U15s
On Tuesday, the U15s were in action, as Westwood High School visited the Centre sportif Soulanges.
Despite an excellent start and a 3-1 lead, the home team lost 5-4.
Xavier Thauvette (2B-0P) and Edja Leduc (0B-2P) led the attack with two points each. Indiscipline was one of the causes of Soulange's collapse.
Elliot Hébert was named Player of the Match. Veteran Edja Leduc had his own words of wisdom. When he commented on his team's game.
"We mustn't panic like we did today. Our coaches give us the tools we need to win. We just have to execute them," he said.
