Near the Sûreté du Québec police station
Redevelopment of the Harwood Boulevard/Bellemare Street intersection begins on October 1
The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to inform road users that work on the redevelopment of the intersection of boulevard Harwood (Highway 20) and rue Bellemare, in Vaudreuil-Dorion, will begin on October 1.
The work required on a pipe in the area will take place over the next few weeks, prior to the planned pavement work, which will begin after winter, weather permitting.
Eventually, left-turn lanes and traffic lights will be installed to facilitate access to the Sûreté du Québec station.
In the area until early November
A complete closure of Harwood Boulevard between Route 342 and Ranger Avenue is expected in each direction at night, during mobilization and demobilization of the work site in the center of the roadway. The detour will then take place on the municipal network.
For the rest of the time, traffic on Harwood Boulevard will be maintained on two lanes, which will be narrowed to accommodate the work space required.
The streetlights in the middle of the roadway, which are to be upgraded as part of the project, will be replaced by temporary lighting along the boulevard for the duration of the work.
Work may be postponed, extended or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. So, before you hit the road, we recommend that you consult Québec 511, a practical tool for planning your trip.
