In order to enable citizens to benefit from the general tax reduction, Revenu Québec would like to remind you that adjustments have recently been made to the calculation of the tax deductions to be made at source on remuneration paid after June 30, 2023.

As it was announced by the Quebec Finance Minister in the 2023-2024 budget, the one-percentage-point reduction affects the first two tax brackets and translates as follows:

  • from 15% to 14% for the portion of taxable income not exceeding $49,275;
  • from 20% to 19% for taxable income in excess of $49,275, but not exceeding $98,540.
  • The annual tax reduction will be up to $814 for a single person and $1,627 for a couple.

For more details, consult the tax news published on this subject via the following link: https://www.revenuquebec.ca/fr/salle-de-presse/nouvelles-fiscales/.
