Cycling clinic to benefit the Zèbre Rouge organization
Marie-Claude Nichols highlights the success of the 2023 summer clinic
On July 8, the Member of Parliament for Vaudreuil, Marie-Claude Nichols, in collaboration with Le Zèbre Rouge, held a bike clinic to give residents of the riding a free tune-up.
The event was a resounding success, helping many people get their bikes ready for summer. The clinic enabled participants to get a free tune-up on their bike, 24 inches or less, thanks to the following services:
- Complete visual inspection of the bike;
- Oiling of chain, wheels and both derailleurs;
- Lubrication of seatpost and handlebar stem;
- Saddle and handlebar adjustment;
- Check tire pressure;
- Gear and brake adjustments.
MP Nichols, who funded the clinic, was delighted with the event's success. "I am very pleased with the success of the 2023 Summer Bike Clinic. I'd like to thank the Zèbre Rouge for its excellent work and the citizens who came out to support the organization while benefiting from a professional service" she emphasized.
She invites the public to visit the organization, which also sells new, used and electric bicycles, as well as offering repair services. Since 2004, Le Zèbre Rouge's primary mission has been to help people with physical or mental health problems return to work.
To achieve its mission, in 2011 the organization founded a social economy enterprise for the recovery, reconditioning, repair and sale of used and new bicycles. Staff benefit from rigorous training to carry out their work.
