This week, the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion is installing a new electric charging station on its territory. It is located on rue Dutrisac. 

While at first glance its positioning raises questions, particularly with regard to future snow clearing operations or pedestrian and motorized tripper traffic on the sidewalk, the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion points out that the work is not yet complete. 

"The sidewalk will be widened to allow people to circulate safely behind the bollard. The bollard must be installed in this way to prevent the wire from crossing the sidewalk to the car during loading, thereby blocking pedestrian passage. Barring weather-related constraints, the installation work will be carried out this week," says communications advisor Jessica Genest by e-mail.
