Police operation in Vaudreuil-Dorion

Police officers from the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Est detachment are currently taking part in a search of a Vaudreuil-Dorion business in connection with a tobacco smuggling operation.

Several items were reportedly taken on site on Wednesday, January 17 by Sûreté du Québec officers, assisted by their colleagues from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and representatives from the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS). 

The business visited by the authorities, a convenience store, is located on rue Valois, in Vaudreuil-Dorion. 

According to Sûreté du Québec spokeswoman Valérie Beauchamp, it is too early to give an assessment of the search at the time of writing. It should be available this Thursday, January 18.
